Huawei Ascend Y530 Launched - A New Android Phablet At €149

The Huawei Ascend Y530 is the latest smartphone cum phablet from the company. Powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon 200 processor and an Adreno 203 GPU, the Ascend Y530 is running the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system with Huawei's Emotion User Interface with Simple UI on the top. The smartphone will start selling in Germany from March 2014. Featuring a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor alongside 512MB of RAM. The phone is pretty lightweight 145 g and the tech specs sheet shared the dimensions as 132,5 x 67 x 9,3 mm.

On the storage front, the Ascend Y530 scores a 512MB of RAM, 4GB of Internal Storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. From the complete set of specifications you can gauge that to keep the price point low, the company seems to have cut down on a lot of fronts - be it processor or the memory. The phone features a 5 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for making video calls. The phone will be available in dual-tone colour design in four versions, including Black and Grey; Black and Red; Black and Yellow, and lastly White and Grey. Priced at 149 euros for the European market, there is no confirmation about the price or availability in other countries.
