People using the HTC Sensation XL and the HTC Rhyme may now download the HTC Sync application to their personal computers, which will mechanically determine iTunes or Windows Media Player to copy some media files like music, pictures and contacts directly to their smartphones. HTC North Asia President Jack Tong at the Product launch said that he wished to see users download the music on their HTC devices from any program.

This is the kick-start of a new relationship between HTC and Apple, as for the very first time HTC has granted its devices to sync with the Apple software, leaving behind all the legal battle related to patent infringements on smartphones and tablet computers in the past. Google Chairman Eric Schmidt had said that he finds the relationship between Google, Apple, Amazon and Facebook, both competitive and cooperative, enjoying such a huge consumer platform.
