HTC Desire 830 With Android Marshmallow On Helio X10 SoC Launched In Taiwan
HTC has launched the successor of its most popular mid-range smartphone, the HTC Desire 820 today in Taiwan. The HTC Desire 830 has been launched in Taiwan and is expected to reach to shores abroad some time later this year. The HTC Desire 830 has been priced attractively at NT $9,990 (20,620 INR). The HTC Desire 830 like most smartphones in this price bracket has been made out of plastic that curves to the back for better and comfortable grip. The HTC Desire 830 will be sold in Orange and Blue colour variants from this Friday in Taiwan.
The HTC Desire 830 sports a 5.5inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution display which is pretty standard for smartphones with this screen size. Underneath the hood, we find a Helio X10 SoC from MediaTek that houses a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, PowerVR Series 6 (Rogue) G6200 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The internal memory of the HTC Desire 830 stands at 32GB and it can be expanded with the help of microSD cards of up to 128GB. The highlight of the HTC Desire 830 is the front facing stereo speakers that are powered by Dolby technology.
When it comes to cameras on the HTC Desire 830, you will be glad to find a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture that features optical image stabilisation. The front 4MP camera is powered by HTC home grown UltraPixel technology that should result in above average images. The smartphone running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is powered by a rather small 2800mAh battery that would struggle to get it up to day of average use.
