Each software pack comes with it's own system requirement details. If a software is meant to run only on Windows XP; then it may not run on Windows 7. But as far as I know, Windows 7 can smoothly run most of the Windows XP programs. There were a few software that broke on Win 7; but most did well.rina j. kadamhow to use windows xp softwares on windows 7 ? is it possible or not? plz reply.

If you are still not able to run those programs which are made for xp but unable to work on win7 then there is nothing much you can do apart from the long procedure of virtualization and stuff. This happens mainly because of the OS framework which was changed while transitioning from WinXp to Win7Are you sure? This action cannot be undone. -

First, try to run in compatibility mode, most of the programs would do fine, if it doesn't then the best option is to have a virtual machine but remember, allocate the RAM wisely.
Rest all things would work fine.
It would be good if you can mention the program you want to run.
If it's like some compiler for C/C++ or something, then use Code Blocks instead..
It's really great. Are you sure? This action cannot be undone.
