  • How to spend summer holidays - advice please?

    hi, i wanna increase my worth as an engineer in electronics and i want help as i dont know which extra course will prove beneficial for me..........plzzzzzzzzzz help as i plan to do it in my summer break , which is for two months and is starting from 1 june............

    Heh there is no such course which if u do,u become a gud engineer..it's just your talent..wait for the oppurtunity and hit it...

    The best learning is self-study (in my humble opinion). Maybe you could take up a small electronics project and work on it all by yourself?

    Choose course wisely. If you are interested in networking - CCNA would be a good choice.

    yes. ccna would be very beneficial. it is divided into 4 modules. u'll be able to do max 2 modules in 2 months. remaining 2 you can do within the next 5 6 mnths along with ur studies. final exam these days costs about 12 grands. believe me if u clear it you'll be preferred in many companies.
    you can also pursue ur interests. may be do a robotics course( 3-4 weeks) and then ad functionalities in ur robo. that way you can compete in many competitions of robotics in various engineering fests.(dont do robotics from appins!!)
    you can work on other softwares as dot net or smthing. dont join NIIT's or aptech or institutes of these kind. they dont teach anything.

    aamna, if u wana get into dot net then there is no need to join any institute. buy any good book and start working yourself. now considering u are from EC branch i'd say u dont need dot net.
    however ccna would be very good point in ur resume. i dont know about punjab or himachal pradesh so cant say about the institute you can join. all i can say is consult a few students who have done the ccna course from the same institute you wana do from. that way u'll know about the faculty and quality of the institute.

    hey no extra cources will help u untill or unless ur really very much keen in learning things .............and as we all know the self study is the best form of study so search materials for urself and increase ur knowlegde on the respective subject..........😀

    Respected sir,
    I hav completed ma 2nd year in elect and telecomm. branch. I am a terribly confused person these days as I can't figure out how to efectively utilise this summer break.

    (1) Is there any course or software related to my branch that I can tr to master during vacations which will be beneficial to me in future.Some of my frnds are doing VLSI course but some people suggested me that its a great specialisation which cant be achieved in mere 2 months. Moreover,institutes providing these course for about Rs5000,generally take students for a ride.Is it true??

    (2) I wud lyk 2 undergo summer training but have no idea about which field to opt for 😕.I can develop interest in any field provided it proves useful.Can you suggest me some of the fields in order of importance, related to ma branch and institutes providing training in these fields??

    (3)Apart from my branch..do u think I shud go for courses related to CS/IT branch like DBMS,networking,networking security. The problem with certified courses is that they expire soon.

    Which way should I head- course or training??
