That's now how a computer science engineer would ask a question. Why not provide the details of the machine you wish to shut down and what you're exactly trying to do. For above question, I'd simply reply "Just Pull The Plug Off From The Socket", but that won't really help, right?ilavarasanhow to shutdown machines in different ways? Are you sure? LOL. 😁The_Big_K"Just Pull The Plug Off From The Socket"
There is a Windows Registry trick to disable the Shutdown command, by which you can never shutdown the system; unless you know how to enable the shutdown command. But this is not what you are looking for. 😛ilavarasanhow to shutdown machines in different ways?
If you want to fasten the Shutdown process, there is a Registry Hack. Are you sure? This action cannot be undone. -

This tip will help you. Do one thing. If your PC is running Windows Xp then good. Start the task manager, click on Shut Down drop-down menu. Press the shut down option while pressing the control key. See your PC shut down in 2-3 seconds. 😉Are you sure? This action cannot be undone. -

Pressing control key while clicking the shutdown option will cool shutdown your system without doing the following. So it takes very less time.Praveen-KumarI am saying about this...
- Save data in memory to virtual memory for future reference.
- Flush the system memory.
- Create logs.
- Save configuration files. 😀

Well there are many ways to do it. It all depends on which OS you want to shutdown. Like Windows has its own way of remotely shutting down computer using command 'shutdown /m \\server /t 00' from a remote computer that has proper previleges. You can shutdown *NIX computers using 'ssh root@host' to login and executing 'init 0'. Also you get remote power switches from vendors like APC for remotely booting the power cycle of computer.Praveen-KumarIf you are saying this: #-Link-Snipped-#
