How to mention belt specifications before purchasing?

I would like to know how to specify a belt, when purchasing one.
besides stating its type (flat, V , round or rigged) , what else should you specify ?
now all that we know is :
1) the distance between the centres of the 2 pulleys (when fixed on shafts)
2) the diameters of the pulleys
3) the speed of the driver pulley
