  • how to extract data/information from a image?

    hi, i am doing my final year project(signature recognition),i planted to use image acquisition to capture the signature, and i am new to matlab,after i capture an image from image acquisition tool in matlab, how should i examine the image?i am taking the image in grays colour then i dont know what should i do next....


    anyone can help me with some useful info please..

    If you are working on PHP, you can use the exif_read_data function. It reads the EXIF headers from JPEG or TIFF. For eg:
    <?php
    echo "test1.jpg:<br />\n";
    $exif = exif_read_data('tests/test1.jpg', 'IFD0');
    echo     $exif===false ? "No header data found.<br />\n" : "Image contains headers<br />\n";
     
    $exif = exif_read_data('tests/test2.jpg', 0, true);
    echo     "test2.jpg:<br />\n";
    foreach (    $exif as $key => $section) {
        foreach (    $section as $name => $val) {
            echo     "$key.$name: $val<br />\n";
        }
    }
    ?>
    The output will be:
    test1.jpg:
No header data found.

    Have you thought of using OCR to extract text from image? It works great.
