    Dear friends,

Its always a pain in the @$$ to come up with a project idea that is -

    • Creative
    • Impressive
    • Awesome
    • Original 😲
    • Easy to execute
    • Within budget
    • Good enough to fetch you enough marks/good grades
But don't you worry, you are a part of CrazyEngineers and we are here to help you with everything you need to shine .

You know what? Coming up with a project idea is actually a lot easier than you think. I've couple of tips/suggestions for you; don't tell me what I say is impossible. Well, its impossible only if you are a lazy bum.

    1. Go through your college library:

Not for the reference books, but for the earlier projects submitted by your seniors. I'm NOT asking you to copy those projects. What we do is get some 4-5 ideas and see if those can be combined in any way. I don't have examples for you at the moment (I graduated couple of years ago 😉 ). Pick up 3-4 ideas that appeal to you and see how can you use them to come up with your own idea.

    2. Modify an existing project:

If you can't think of an original idea (by the way, no idea is original); you can always think of improving, modifying any earlier projects submitted by your super seniors. I'm sure your professors will appreciate it. That's how technology advances. Who knows, you might end up with something awesome? 😀

    3. Creative thinking:

If you can't do 1 & 2 above, its time to think of something on your own. Its easy. Think about your favorite topic. For example, if you are interested into robotics, you may think of building a robot. If you are interested in programming, you may think of building a software that will make your life easier.

In my final year project, we had combined programming with our electrical engineering knowledge. We build a web based transformer designed service 😁. That was pretty much advanced then; because we had let the transformers to be designed through mobile phones also .

    What do you think?

Our idea was to design a web based service that would accept inputs from clients and then work out the design. It also would present 3D graphical representation of transformer. We also made our web service available through mobile devices which was pretty innovative idea back then 😁 .

We taught C# ourselves and learned machine design through text books and actually contacting transformer manufacturers in nearby Industrial area. I don't have much to share at the moment.
