Starting threads increases the content of the forum. This thread is for counting how many threads you started on CE from joining till today.
[Post the number till the day you saw this thread. 😀 ]

For those who don't know how to find this out, check this:

Go to My Profile / Click on your own username and say view profile.
On the left hand side, you will see this link below your name :

I just checked. I have started 482 threads. Long way to go. Aiming for 1000 in next 2 months.

PS: I am sure no one can beat Biggie in this. But let's see how much we all have done.

Looks like very few have crossed even 100. Buck up engineers. If we want more engineers around, we got set the forum raining with posts and new threads. Every engineer should find something that interests him/her on the forum.

Actually its more than 500, but the limit is upto 500.. the older threads are not visible.

I have no idea.
Oh my god
etc..

They only unnecessarily increase the length of the threads and any new reader can get annoyed by such posts.
I hereby, want all of you to refrain from posting such things constantly. It's OK if we do it once in a while when it's very important.

If we welcome a newbie on CE, that should not be only to increase the number of posts.
What's the use if a CEan has just 5 new threads but 1000 Posts? Give it some thought.

That's really a good point, Akd. These days, all are looking for their post counts. They are concentrating mostly on CE-Introductions section and in Chit-Chat section(mainly in the loong thread) to boost their post count. They are not thinking about the Productive Posts! Just think how it will be if you give the user titles based on the No of Threads started rather than the No of Posts!

Post Count Title + Started Thread Count Title... We can make a kinda algorithm to decide which ratio is better and ... well, got my point? Can we implement this??? 😛
