    Some of the opportunities in hospitality industry are listed below: -
    · Hotel Industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 20% in the period of 2010-2020.
    · Major Indian Hotel chains are Taj group, Oberoi group, ITC and ITDC and International hotel chains are IHG, Marriott, and Starwood.
    · There are about 161 new projects coming up in major Indian cities, out of which 100 are being designated under 4 and 5 star hotels.
    · 1 in every 9.6 jobs is coming from the hospitality sector.
    · As India is expected to be in top 4 tourist destinations by 2020, more and more trained hospitality professionals are required.
    · Job profiles: - F&B Management, Catering Management, Guest Relations Executive, Front Office executive, Manager- Operations.
    Top Companies: - Leela Group, ITC welcome Heritage, Radisson, Aman Hotels, Kingdom Of Dreams.

    INLEAD is an institute in Gurgaon which provides this course. Course duration is just 1 year and students are getting salary packages in the range of 4 6 lacs.

    Hi kooky,
    I had done my engineering in 2010, but was never into making my career in this field. One should always do things that he/she enjoys.....rather than what the society says. So if you are interested in hospitality then you should go ahead with this course. I had done a course in event management and public relation from this very institute that I have mentioned above and I can certainly vouch for them that they deliver what they say.

    Whats your opiniuon about Welcomegroup Gradute School, Manipal University owned by ITC... it offers M.Sc in Hospitality and Tourism.. Do you have any of your freinds studying here??

    but the college we choose should be a placement oriented one.. i don think Annamalai university offers placement.. I think u very well know the scenerio b/w geeting job on-campus and searching job after the passing out..😳 !! so pls do suggest me some best colleges if you have??

    hey kapil.. thanks dude 😀 I read INLEADs' website that they give internships for 6 months.. is it really true?? Bcos most colleges in and around Guargon dont do what they promise...
    and could you please help me with some of your friends' contact who did hospitality course from INLEAD.. It will be really be very very helpful.
