Hisense Pulse Set Top Box Launched To Come Bundled With Google TV
Hisense USA have announced their new set top box Hisense Pulse that comes equipped with Google TV which connects the customer to web, search, apps and TV content. Pulse utilizes Android OS along with Google TV to provide Google services such as Chrome, Google Play, Search, TV & Movies and YouTube customized to work on HDTVs. Features like Picture-In-Picture and Picture-Outside-Picture help the user to watch television and browse the web at the same time.

Hisense Pulse comes with various connectivity options like HDMI input and output, USB, Ethernet and built-in Wi-Fi. The double sided remote has touchpad and dedicated Netflix button on one side and a QWERTY keyboard on the other. It measures 4.49 x 4.49 x 1.37 inches and weighs 1.5 pounds. The official unveiling of this product will be held at IFA 2012. The set-top box will be available with select retailers in the US around mid-November 2012. The price of this device is expected to be 99 US dollars.

The Hisense Pulse with Google TV features various connectivity options, including HDMI input and output, USB, Ethernet and built-in Wi-Fi. Also included in the box is a double sided remote control featuring a built-in touchpad and dedicated Netflix button on one side and a QWERTY keyboard on the other side allowing easy web and search features. The Hisense Pulse with Google TV takes up very little space (4.5" square x 1.4" tall), and weighs in at just 1.5 pounds. Power consumption is only 20 watts while operating, and less than 1 watt during standby mode. In addition to the consumer benefits, Google TV's platform also allows content providers an easy, scalable platform to bring Android apps to a growing audience, enabling them to engage directly with users.
