Hey Hey Everyone
Love the title "Crazy Engineers"
I'm from Ontario, Canada
I'm not a true engineer but I do have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician - Industrial Mechanic and am looking to go back to school thru Second Career for Electronics Engineering Technician.
I currently have Electronics Workbench V8 simulation software and lots of e-books. Also have Ansys for analyzing and will be getting Matlab once I start to learn electronics more....won't be long...I'm pumped π

And hey who says you're not a real Engineer, I'm still studying so I'm not either that means..? =( -
QuoozyMe...27...I can't believe I'm that old..lol...Martial status...lol...ya, I'm single....I have to be if I'm going to pursue my crazy ideas, takes alot of focus and time to learn new things.
The engineer thing....I didn't want to give the impression that I know what I'm doing and besides, a true engineer requires a university degree, I'm a hobbyist
You from London, England or Ontario? I love finding fellow Ontarians π -
Black_Rose^^ London England I'm afraid.
My interest in Engineering started off as a hobby, thought it high time I add some academic qualifications to add to it. I worried it might become boring if I did it full time, but I love it more than ever now.
27 isn't old. Still in the prime of your life. π -

Ashraf HZWelcome to CE, Quoozy!
Hows the weather in Ontario? And, Matlab is a cool piece of software.. good luck with it. I'd love to try Ansys out too.
I think the title of "engineer" can be misleading and even controversial these days. Its better to consider who is an engineer in terms of their true ability rather than their qualifications. Even those who hold Professional Engineering (the top engineering brass) status at times look have trouble solving simple issues and even look down on others in their field. I wonder if some would really give up their humility and creativity.. to strive for status and perfection?
So.. how would we really define what a true engineer is? π -
