Help with final year Project (Computer network related)

Hi guys, can you guide me in this tour, i,m a computer science student and also a ccna student, right now i need to do my final year project, i was thinking about investigate a firewall, or a monitoring system, maybe incorporate some mobile programming in it two, anyway please say something and suggest me some technologies?
