help to decide on the course to do

I want to get into design where functional aspect is more imp. than the aesthetic .I have done my B.E.Production and was thinking of doing an MTech mech or a Masters in Industrial design course.Need guidance on what will be a better choice.
As a second choice what would process engineer profile be.
