Has Intel Hired Spammers To Promote Intel Smart Challenge?

The biggest pain in the a$$ of any administrator/moderators of a popular forum is to continuously remove the SPAM. CrazyEngineers, being a popular destination for thousands of engineers across the globe, gets hit by spammers every minute. Our ace moderators work round the clock to keep the forums clean and kill the spam.

Since last few weeks, we have been noticing that lot of spammers are trying to promote Intel's Smart Challenge. There's a typical trend in the way they operate - Post some text that looks like a valid response to some query on the forums and then include a link to the Intel Smart Challenge website.

#-Link-Snipped-#Obviously, a company like Intel will never do this. Maybe they trusted some SEO company to promote their website. Indian SEO companies, generally, have no clue what SEO is. All they do is hire 10 kids and provide them with a list of popular websites & forums; and tell them to post links to their client's website. Since it takes some time before the spam is identified by moderators; the client's website enjoys some greater traffic.

I hope Intel will look into this. We have removed all the related posts from CE Forums. I'll try to preserve one as a proof once its posted.
