Hanover Trade Fair 2011 Germany: A Technological Fest

Whenever we talk of technology, it has to be feasible. The technology of what we are talking about should also be efficient than the existing one. Then and then only we can think to manufacture it. But after passing so many tests and after we have proved that our techniques are relevant, we need some forum to sell our technology. Well in today’s date, Hanover trade fair is the exact forum you are looking for.

#-Link-Snipped-#Hanover trade festival was inaugurated by German chancellor Angela Merkel on April 4 this year. This is thought of as a biggest trade fair of machineries till date. In this fair 6,500 companies from over 65 Nations are participating with their innovative technology. The fair is thought to become a success because 38% bookings are already done in February last year. Most of the exhibits (about 4800) are from abroad.

The major attractions of the fair included an electric chopper motorbike by Siemens. Then there is robotic display by Chinese companies. Suzhou Ompa Industrial Robots displayed their robot, which was a big machine capable of lifting and manipulating 250 Kg pallets of bottled drinks.

There is also a humming bird robot. A Baden-Württemberg based company ‘Festo’ claims to have decrypted as to how a bird takes his flight. Depending on the knowledge they have made a humming bird robot. In my opinion, the technique is what we do. The company brilliantly observed as to how exactly the bird takes flight and mimicked it in the robot.

Not only physical exhibits but there are also processes and materials at display. A new material called fiber composite materials which can produce a car part. This material saves about 75% time and can produce a perfectly scratch-resistant front spoiler in any desired color.

This year France is a partner Nation in the Hanover Trade Fair 2011 which is from 4-8 April. French Minister of Industry, Energy and Digital Economy Eric Besson also visited the stand of Dassault Systèmes at the Hanover Trade Fair, the world's largest industrial trade fair. Bernard Charlès, President and CEO of Dassault Systèmes and Jörg Schiebel, Vice President and Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes Germany, welcomed the Minister and demonstrated as to how 3D technology was used in designing and managing the challenges in the 21st century and what way the technology was moving in.

But the spirit of Japan is unbeaten. Even after earthquakes and Tsunami this March there are many exhibits from Japan. Japan participated actively in the fair.

In my opinion, such types of fairs not only encourage technology but also, boost innovation and industrialization. These trade fairs are a boon to invent new and improve old technologies. There may not be a relevance of them for a common man, but he is the one who is indirectly benefited by it. These technologies increase the comfort and decrease cost which they give as an indirect advantage to human beings.
