Google Nexus Q Is The Spherical Future Of Media Streaming!

Nexus Q, a ball-shaped device developed to stream music, videos and other media content to your TV and Speaker systems, could be run from an Android enabled phone or tablet. This device is a straight challenge to Apple devices like Apple TV and the iPad, which've ruled the roost for some time now.

There are a large number of interesting features to ponder on. Apart from working with your Google play library via cloud, it's speciality includes 'social streaming', using which another Android device can stream media to the same device. It operates on multiple Android devices, and using more than one Nexus Q shall ensure that you stream the music in sync in various rooms producing a high-end sound. This way, whatever movie/video you carry on your Android gadget, you can simply stream it through your friend's Nexus Q.

As for the concerned hardware, the Q boasts of a TI OMAP 4460 (also employed in the Galaxy Nexus Phone and various of 7-inch tablets), in addition to Optical digital audio & micro HDMI ports; Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC connectivity; plus a micro USB port. Google Play shows the price tag on Q as $299 and this device shall be available from mid-July.
