Google Chrome has finally landed on Android. Google Chrome for web launched around 3 years ago and since then has been rising on the market share. Known for its super fast speed, Google intends to duplicate the efficiency on the Android platform as well. Google took its time coming to Android, considering both have been around for a few years now. Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Google Chrome explains that this was so because Google didn't want a toned down version of Chrome to hit the mobile OS, instead planned on delivering all of it and that's exactly what they have done.
Till now, Android users were provided with a default generic, stock browser which proved to be inferior to a lot of browsers in the Android market but with the arrival of Google Chrome, Android users can expect a highly advanced experience. Google is launching the full version of Chrome as we know it for Android, without losing a single feature to the desktop version.

After that long a wait, one can only expect a product to be grand and Google Chrome does not disappoint. Chrome on Android will provide a whole new meaning to mobility with the benefits it packs. If you have Chrome on your desktop, you can entirely sync your bookmarks across the browser versions. Hail mobility of the internet, you can even access the tabs you left opened on your laptop's Chrome browser. The search terms you entered on the desktop version carry to the Android Chrome, making the job easier for you.
All that and the promise of a super fast browser.  Chrome predicts what page youâre going to visit when you are only entering the search term and starts loading it in the browser background, saving all that boring loading time. The only catch here, and this is going to disappoint you for a while, is that Chrome browser for Android is only available for Android 4.0 and later. Last I heard, Ice Cream Sandwich was still missing from most smartphones. Patience is the key.
