  • The news has it that Google has acquired the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics startup - 'DeepMind Technologies' beating Facebook Inc. who was reportedly deep in negotiation talks with the company. Google has struck the deal with DeepMind for a massive amount of $400 million.
As per the official website, DeepMind looks like a startup that works on machine learning and neuroscience to create "general-purpose learning algorithms."

According to TheVerge - Sources also stated that Google has created an ethics board to ensure that the AI technologies it is developing are not abused.

What do you think about the massive spree that Google and Facebook is on about buying startups?
