Google Beat Facebook In Buying DeepMind - An Artificial Intelligence Startup From UK

The news has it that Google has acquired the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics startup - 'DeepMind Technologies' beating Facebook Inc. who was reportedly deep in negotiation talks with the company. Google has struck the deal with DeepMind for a massive amount of $400 million.
As per the official website, DeepMind looks like a startup that works on machine learning and neuroscience to create "general-purpose learning algorithms."

According to TheVerge - Sources also stated that Google has created an ethics board to ensure that the AI technologies it is developing are not abused.
