Gmail Goes Down. Comes Back.

Gmail is not twitter but has its own share of problems. Managing a large pool of servers is not an easy task but Google engineers keep it running round the clock. However, Gmail went down for few of the users at around 10:12 IST and users started getting 'Temporary Error 500'. Google responded by acknowledging the issue and said that they will provide more information. Few minutes later, Google informed that less than 2% of all the Gmail users have been affected by the issue and their engineers are working to fix it.

At 10:54 IST, Google responded with a message that the service has been restored for few of the users and work is still in progress. At 11:16 IST, the service was fully restored for all the users. We checked our Gmail accounts and everything seems to be working absolutely fine. If you faced issues with Gmail login in the last few minutes, be assured that you were not the only ones.
