American football is one of the most watched sports in the USA making NFL (National Football League) TRP ratings skyrocket every season. However many fans feel that the probability of getting a serious head injury makes it a dangerous game. Concussions due to head and spine injuries are like a nightmare for a footballer or a rugby player because they can cause lifelong psychological and physical incapability making life miserable. The helmets must be designed in a better way.

Gizmo Helmet
To solve this problem, a Seattle based design engineer Michael Princip, who happens to be a huge NFL fan, has come up with an all new prototype which he calls the “Bulwark”. At first glance, this concept helmet looks just like any other traditional helmets. But on the inside, its modern engineering and shockproof design make it way better in preventing concussions and neck injuries. It comprises of individual shock absorbing sections which facilitate a blow to remain localized and minimal. Besides these, there are three protective layers which cause the impact to decrease to a negligible level as it reaches the head. Bulwark is extremely lightweight and weighs a pound less than other helmets. Also, it looks pretty awesome with the facility to adjust the internal padding for each section.
Bulwark is not for sale yet and Michale Princip wishes to sell the model to a major and trusted helmet brand. He still has to get the Bulwark patented and certified before this reaches the market.
