GIFT City Data Center To Have 1000 Racks, Making It One Of The Biggest Data Centers For Single User

The Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Co. Ltd aka GIFT City is planning one of the largest data centers in India with over 1000 racks for single user. Mr. RK Jha, the director of GIFT City said that they've invited the bids to setup the largest data center for single user from leading IT companies and at least two major consortia have shown interest in the project.

Jha further said that while there have been a number of multi-user data centers in India, the GIFT City will be one of its kind to offer a single user Data Center with over 1000 racks. It will aim to provide complete IT infrastructure to the companies who want to setup their shops in the GIFT city. The overall cost of this project would be about Rs. 1500 crores.
