GE's TM2500+ "Power Plant On The Wheels" To Power Gas Demo Project In Canada

General Electric's trailer-mounted gas turbine, TM2500+ also known as 'Power Plant On The Wheels' has been selected for an iconic gas demonstration project in Canada. Evolution Well Services, an oilfield technology company has selected TM2500+ to demonstrate the mobile natural gas technology and how it can be used to reduce emissions and improve the operational efficiency over the regular diesel engines. The power plant will be used for hydraulic fracturing in unconventional gas fields.

The TM2500+ offers reliable and flexible distributed power in the 50-60 Hz  segments. Evolution Well Services plans to replace the traditional diesel engines used in hydraulic fracturing to to lower the costs and emissions.

GE's TM2500+ is a member of General Electric's PowerXpand portfolio which is a collection of technologies GE's engineers have developed to address the temporary power needs of customers. Check out more information on the turbine in the source link.
