Generating energy from wasted heat

Thank for such brilliant ideas,
am ssemakula frank, a student of telecommunication engineering makerere university
I have a project idea for conserving the wasted heat in coking most especially for schools in their kitchen.
i would wish to utilize that heat generated to during cooking to form other energy source like electrical power.
It will save on the costs on electricity bills.
How can i go about it.
