@Maria: GATE = Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an All-India Examination conducted by the six Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science for pursuing M.Tech/M.E program for post-graduation. -
