Galaxy SIII Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) Update Rolls Out In India

We're getting an update from the social media that Galaxy SIII users in India are getting the Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) firmware upgrade. The firmware update is being made available over the air (OTA) and also through Samsung's proprietary phone management software - Kies. If you're an S3 owner, we'd recommend you to hit your phone's settings and check if the software update option shows the availability of Jelly Bean.

The overall size of the download would be around 291 MB so we'd recommend you to update it over your local Wi-Fi connection. Unless you're on mobile unlimited data plan, the file download may cost you a little fortune. Samsung SIII ships with Android ICS by default and the users were demanding the upgrade for a long time now.

We're keeping an eye on this story and will post updates as soon as they're available.
