Fujikura Europe Announces New CT-10 and CT-11 High Precision Cleave Tools

Fujikura Europe Ltd. (Fujikura Europe Limited), the world leader in fusion splicing technology, today announced that it has launched two new high precision cleave tools: the CT-10 and the CT-11.

The CT-11 is the first high precision angle cleaver that Fujikura has produced, responding to the demands of its FTTh customers. The CT-11 provides angle-cleaving in the field, allowing users to field terminate angled physical contact (APC) connectors. While the CT-10 is a single fibre cleaver, that offers the same compact body and precision cleaving as the CT-30, but at a significantly lower price.

Both tools have also been designed to allow a direct, overhead view of the cleave by opening wider. This upgraded design helps alleviate any issues caused by Parallax error – where the users eyes operate on two different lines of sight, causing small, but important accuracy errors to occur. The new CT-10 and CT-11 both help to alleviate this.

“We’re excited by these two new products,” said Brian Leonard, Product Manager at Fujikura Europe Limited. “It’s the first time we’ve created a mechanical angle cleaving tool, the CT-11, but we’re confident that it is the best in the market. We’ve also responded to our customers needs and are offering the CT-10 which is a very competitively priced, high precision cleave tool for single fibre fusion splicing.”

More Details

CT-10
The CT-10 is a compact and light weight, high precision single fibre cleaver, with the option of a detachable fibre scrap collector. It has also been designed to allow an overhead view of the cleave to reduce Parallax error and it also allows users to replace the blade themselves, improving the ease of use and the overall cost of ownership.

CT-10 Features
– Dedicated for single fiber cleaving.
– User replaceable flat diamond blade.
– Simple & single-step operation.
– Blade life up to 64,000 cleaves.
– Compact and light weight.
– Detachable fiber scrap collector FC-03 available as option.
– Significantly lower priced than its predecessor the CT-30

CT-11
The CT-11 is the first time that Fujikura has created a high precision, angle cleaver. It provides consistent angle cleaving thanks to the newly introduced fibre clamping/twisting mechanism and is ideally suited for the field termination market. Like the CT-10 it has also been designed to allow an overhead view of the cleave to reduce Parallax error and it also allows users to replace the blade themselves, improving the ease of use and the overall cost of ownership.

CT-11 Features
– Dedicated for single fiber cleaving.
– User replaceable flat diamond blade.
– Simple operation.
– Blade life up to 64,000 cleaves.
– Compact and light weight.
