Ford Figo Concept Sedan To Compete Dzire, Amaze & Fiesta Classic In India

Ford has unveiled the new global Ford Figo Concept Sedan in India just ahead of Auto Expo 2014. It is a sub 4m Sedan which is based on Ka concept that was showcased in Brazil a few months back. The main highlights of this new Ford include - contemporary styling, enigmatic driving dynamics, spacious cabin and greater fuel efficiency. The car offers an innovative device dock to store, mount and charge devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players and satellite navigation systems, integrated into the in-car entertainment system.


This Ford Figo concept is expected to replace Fiesta Classic in 2015 and also compete with Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and the newly introduced Tata Zest. The compact car segment is the most competitive segment in India and has been outpacing the industry for the past decade. This segment comprises almost a third of the total sales in 2013. Ford expects compact car sales in India to double by 2018. This car can be expected to possess 1.0l EcoBoost Engine and 1.5l diesel motor. However the transmission system will be both manual and automatic both 5-speed.


In a nutshell this car is highly sophisticated with fresh design, world class quality, a roomy interior and safe technology. This car will be showcased at the 12th New Delhi Auto Expo 2014 from February 7 to February 11 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.
