If you are someone frustrated with the difficulties arising out of slippery and wet road conditions, Ford has something in store for you. Now #-Link-Snipped-# obey Newton's laws far more perfectly than any other thing on this planet. Ford engineers have designed an All Wheel Drive system (AWD system) to distribute appropriate amount of torque at appropriate place. The changes first tested for #-Link-Snipped-# are expected to replicate themselves in other future models.

As this technology was in developing phase, Escape has undergone rigorous trials at places infamous for their slippery tracks. This includes mountains of New Zealand and Desert of California. The all wheel drive system so developed is able to match these harsh conditions in less than a blink of eye. Surprised? The secret of this technology lies in the software and hardware employed by the automobile engineers in this SUV. The software that it features calculates the amount of force required to be exerted at a point sensing the conditions of that surface. So let us say, you have to take a sharp turn but it is rather difficult when the road conditions do not suit driver's abilities.

The system hence developed accumulates data from 25 different locations and calculates the parameters that vehicle needs to exert. All this is calculated every 16 millisecond that is 20 times faster than the blink of eye. The speed thus exhibited by the control arrangement best makes use of your driving abilities.

But how would you know if the process just describe is really taking place? The query is justified and is also easily remedied by the AWD designers. As the power is distributed among front and rear wheels, the ratios and magnitude of torque in them are displayed on an arrangement in the dash board. The company had earlier employed many #-Link-Snipped-#. However, this was only limited to engineering the car with lighter Eco-Friendly materials. We don't know when the company will showcase its latest achievement. With the new Software-Hardware combination, an upgraded model of the SUV is perhaps near.
