Final - Vuzix's Augmented Reality Glasses Now Available

Science Fiction, the root of all tech fantasies, has kept the hunger for better augmented reality on the rise, where more and more devices based on the same technology are being developed. And keeping in mind the same urge, Vuzix has released their new set of AR glasses.

Two small screens combining to create a 75 inch virtual screen, the Vuzix Wrap 1200AR glasses supports both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio. It can handle a display resolution up to 720p, where displays have a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The glasses are highly adjustable, and can be changed according to your comfort. It has a 640x480 video camera which captures videos at 30 frames per second. A number of sensors are also packed including magnetometers, accelerometers, and gyros.

The glasses need augmented reality applications on a computer, and can be connected via USB and VGA connections. The AR glasses are being shipped, being quite expensive, around $1499(USD), where cheaper alternatives are pretty rare.
