Revealed at CES this year, Asus calls it the WL-330NUL Pocket Router which is just longer than an AA-sized battery and it includes an USB 2.0 connector and cable. The connector can be folded up to the side of the body. This device offers both wired and wireless connectivity for notebooks, tablets and smartphones and has dimensions of 6.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm and weighs around 17.5 g.

It has a 100/10 Mbps Ethernet port at the opposite end of the USB connector and also has Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities and an access point mode. The miniature router supports 128-bit encryption for security and supports popular operating systems like Windows 8, Mac OS and iOS.

This device can draw the necessary power from the device it is connected to and can share a single connection on multiple devices without affecting signal strength or speed. The router is reported to be rolled out in March.
