Fbootstrapp: The Handy Toolkit For Facebook Apps

Facebook is putting serious effort to its iFrame application and providing users with an option to add custom tabs on Facebook fan pages. The iFrame application will allow users to embed an external web page into their custom Facebook tab. This idea is similar to 'Bootstrap', the GUI toolkit available for Twitter. Fbootstrapp, created by Clemens Krack, aims to give the necessary push to the development of Facebook iFrame apps. Quoted from#-Link-Snipped-#, 'the Fbootstrapp comes with the same less goodness as Bootstrap.'

The external web page isn't hosted by Facebook, hence it allows standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript like any other web page on the internet. Fbootstrapp allows for building fanpage tabs as well as building canvas apps. The default grid systems for Fbootstrapp would be 760px and 520px wide 12-column grids with no margin/padding on either side. The Fbootstrapp will share Facebook’s look and feel. It will include base CSS and HTML for typography, forms, buttons, tables, grids, navigation, and more.

Originally, Facebook didn't provide its users with a framework, so any app developer who would want to build something on the social network, would have to spend a lot of time with the design before being able to implement their idea. Hence, with the need of the hour,  Facebook came out with the fbootstrapp toolkit. This will essentially offer UI guidelines with libraries and frameworks to users and allow them to build products based on their platform.

The fbootstrapp works with all major browsers. The code is available on GitHub - ckrack/fbootstrapp: HTML, CSS, and JS toolkit for facebook apps.
