Father Of CD (Compact Disc), Norio Ohga Dies At 81
Sony's ex-chief, who was responsible for Sony's buyout of Columbia Picture for about $4 billion died on Saturday. Ohga started his career as Opera singer and then joined the then blooming electronics industry in Japan in 1950s.
Ohga was Sony's former Chairman and VP from 1982 - 1995 and is also known as the father of compact disc.
