Fast computation: 2D discrete cosine transform

I've got stuck deriving the expression for the fast computation of the 2D discrete cosine transform. I've searched almost every text, but couldnt find it anywhere. Would someone who's done it, please tell me if its similar to the expression for 1D discrete cosine transform. If there's on online source, do mention it.
