Facebook India (Hyderabad) Office Video

    Update: Facebook has informed that this video shows the arrival of the FB team at Hyderabad. The official opening will be in September. I've few questions -

    1. FB India will primarily be a sales & multi-lingual support office. Will there be any core, technical work being done from this office? If not, why? Does FB not trust Indian Engineering Talent?
    2. Will the employees at FB India office be paid equal salary as their counterparts in head office?
    3. Is there any hope of FB doing some core engineering work from FB India office?

    The office looks cool!!

    Anyhow, as mentioned, I too agree with this trend.

    One thing to note is, this is existing only in IT field, in my opinion.

    There are numerous companies in mech and automobile fields, and there, cutting edge work is going on, even in Indian plants.

    Only in case of software, people tend to outsource only the background maintenance sort of work to India.

    This is a sad thing, and I hope it changes..
