Excess Heating up of engine

I have a 340 cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled engine.
It radiates excessive heat immediately after its start.
suggest me the reasons for it

    How do you know the heat is excessive? Is the engine receiving air flow? Does the motor use fuel injection or carb?

    the engine starts heating up immeditely after it starts
    the air intake has two right angle bends

    Does the motor start to run lean & ping? What is the temp of the engine? By airflow, I meant via movement for cooling purposes of the cylinder head.
