Evernote On Android 4 Updated. Brings Voice Recognition & New Custom Widget!

Evernote is one of the coolest services we've come across that help in boosting productivity. The service lets you remember things by making them available across various machines that we use every day like laptop, desktops and mobile phones. The company has pushed out a new update (3.6) that brings speech-to-text capabilities along with new features to custom widget. While taking audio notes has been one of the core features of the app since the day it was launched, the latest update will make it easier to take text based notes simply by dictating to your phone. The new app adds a speech bubble above the keyboard layout. Just press it and start talking to your app. You can of course attach the original audio to the note which make the things more interesting. If you do not wish to use the audio to text conversion, then tap and hold the speech bubble until it turns into a microphone. The app will now take your regular audio note. The technology uses Android's text transcription facility which means you should be online to make it work. The facility is only available on phones with the latest Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
