This new ultimicron panel boasts high-quality resolution and fidelity required to focus on the objects while ensuring that the smooth gradations and natural softness is recreated in the image. It uses a color filter that stops the color break-up that occurs while shooting moving subjects.

It measures ~0.48" diagonally and offers XGA 1024x768 resolution in RGB, totalling about 2.36 MP. The Ultimicron is latest addition to Epson's ULTIMICRON series which currently has 0.47" SVGA panel and 0.52" QHD panel.
