EFFECT ON MACHINING ON INDIAN STANDARD IRON ANGLE
What is the tensile strength/compressive strength of ISA 50 X 50 X 50,having 01 met length.

There is no such animal. It is not possible to have an equal angle 50mm x 50 mm and a thickness of 50 mm. Strength properties are inherent to the material and not dependent on geometry. They would depend on the manufacturing history where work hardening is involved. Any standard text or net resource will give the data.PRAD CHAKRABORTYISA 50 X 50 X 50

Thank You,Sir.A.V.RamaniThe strength of steel does not change. But at the cross section where there is a slot or hole, the area of the channel gets reduced. To that extent there will be a proportional decrease in strength.
