DRONES TECHNOLOGY-QUADCOPTER

Project Abstract / Summary : Quadcopter is a type of UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) which is used in many applications in real life. It uses four rotors in opposite directions(two in clockwise and two in counter clockwise) for balancing and to make angular acceleration to be zero. It uses varying speed of the motors to achieve both stability and direction of flight. The main parts of a typical quadcopter are frame,motors(four),electronic speed controller,flight control board,radio transmitter and receiver,propellers(X4)and atlast a battery and a charger.
The quadcopter can be automatic or manually controlled depending upon the scenario in which it is used.Sensors play a key role in stabilization of the quadcopter. Gyro sensor,Accelerometer,Magnetometer,Proximity sensor and Baro meter are used here.Manual control is that a remote is provided to the user in order to control the overall operation of the quadcopter,while in automatic,only the the requirements are entered and the quadcopter does the remaining.
Quadcopters are now mostly engaged in country's defence system,telecommunication in rough terrains,telemetry,rescue operations etc.,

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Drones is one of the emerging technology which can help to ease the manpower.With same basic structure,it can be designed differently with various add-ons. GPS,Camera are to name a few.
Future of a quad-copter is quite vast based on various application fields it can be applied to. Quad-copter can be used for conducting rescue operations where it’s humanly impossible to reach. In terms of its military applications it can be more widely used for surveillance purposes, without risking a human life.
As more automated quad-copters are being developed, there range of applications increases and hence we can ensure there commercialization. Thus quad-copter can be used in day to day working of a human life, ensuring their well-being.
With further study and advancement in technology, designers are quite sure that a quad-copter can be used for construction of huge towers and buildings. The main advantage in the future use of a quad-copter for various purposes is that risk to human life, may it be because of war or due to commercial accidents can be greatly avoided. The future of quad-copter sure is bright and not far ahead.
