Following Google Chrome project, Mozilla decided to put Firefox in the faster development track. That clearly meant that we'd get a new version every few days with incremental updates. Just few days after releasing #-Link-Snipped-#, Mozilla has launched the Firefox 6.0 beta with several new features. The impatient ones can quickly access the beta #-Link-Snipped-# and download the latest version of world's one of the most popular browser. Let's have a quick overview of the new features in version 6.0 (beta). Note that the software is in beta state and it may not function properly on your system. But it's no fun to get the software when everyone else gets it. Let's keep ourselves ahead of everyone else.

The most noticeable feature in latest build is that the URL address bar displays the site name highlighted and shadows the rest of the URL. This means, when you visit CrazyEngineers, the URL will look like <span style="color: #999999;">https://www.</span>crazyengineers.<span style="color: #999999;">com/category/voice/</span> <span style="color: #000000;">. </span>Why? Well, in order to prevent phishing attacks. There are fraud emails that ask people to update their bank account passwords, but upon clicking the link in email, user is taken to an entirely different domain which mimics the look of your bank's account login page. With the site name highlighted, users will know that they're on some other domain and not the one they intended to visit. The new version also features, streamlined identity block. [*]Added support for EventSource / server-sent events
    [*]Added support for window.matchMedia
[*]Added Scratchpad, an interactive JavaScript prototyping environment
[*]Added a new Web Developer menu item and moved development-related items into it
