Does SSL boost the search engine ranking?

I have added SSL to my website PNR Status Buzz and redirected whole site from http to https. For now all the pages are indexed without https, when it get indexed, Is it boost my ranking. I have read an article which says that after switching to HTTPS you will get more priority which will boost you ranking. Am I right?

It does, but it's just one of the 200+ signals that Google uses to rank pages. So you won't notice immediate ranking boost after enabling SSL.

My ranking is slightly slipped away that's why i thought to add SSL to pnrstatusbuzz. I read somewhere in the article that it boost the ranking but thanks for clearing my doubts.

As I said, SSL won't help much. You need to have unique content or offering in order to have ranking boost. All the best. Avoid further linking to your post.
