Earlier this year in March, we told you about #-Link-Snipped-# and how it could be affecting millions, not thousands. Since then we saw #-Link-Snipped-#, #-Link-Snipped-#, and #-Link-Snipped-# notifying us about the malware and now news has it that there are still millions of infected PCs (even though there was a massive clean-up operation in place) and all of them may lose internet connectivity on Monday i.e. July 9th.

This malware that altered the DNS information, routes legitimate internet traffic to servers that can steal personal info such as passwords and credit card numbers. This #-Link-Snipped-# can help you understand this virus better.

Back in November, the FBI set up a website to share the #-Link-Snipped-# of the attack. After that, Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) has maintained temporary clean DNS servers, but this system will be turned off on July 9th. Some ISPs are claiming that they have technical solutions that will tackle this problem, but others are up for providing their customers with help for removing the malware by returning the DNS settings to normal. If you still haven't done a check, then we recommend that you head over to the #-Link-Snipped-# or find out more information over at the #-Link-Snipped-#.
