Project Abstract / Summary : Designed a new bearing by modifying the conventional bearing design which could both lock and facilitate rotation, simultaneously,especially for preventing rolling against desired direction (both front and back )of vehicles while on slopes.It is placed between the gear box and differential of vehicle. This reduces the undesired motion of vehicle in slopes and hilly terrains that prevent the accidents.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Today 60% of accidents are caused due to the inexperience of drivers and so there was a necessity to tackle this problem. We came up with this innovative bearing design that prevents the undesired motion of vehicle while on slopes and hilly terrains. This project gave us a great opportunity to exhibit our capabilities and innovativeness in auto mobile designing as an engineer. Installation of this project can reduce the accident rates due to inexperience of drivers to its minimum.
