Digital locker beta launched

Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (#-Link-Snipped-#) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

i was just thinking
1.The free space is not enough, because if we talk about a good resolution picture (which is necessary for documents) is of about 3-4 mb each.
2.If someone anyhow managed to breach the security ,he will have data of all the Indian's 👀.
for more info and suggestions you can go on mygov.in
what you say about this initiative?
