Yesterday, Digg shared <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2012/7/30/3201931/digg-v1-previewed-simplicity-sharing-mobile" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">'Rethought' Digg previewed ahead of launch with a focus on simplicity - The Verge</a> of what it is changing and rethinking about its platform with its apps for web, iPhone, and mobile web. And today we have an official launch of <a href="https://digg.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">News and Trending Stories Around the Internet | Digg</a> bringing curated content together from all the interesting websites. After a rigorous re-build of their platform for six weeks, Digg now presents a freshly cooked code and infrastructure. The Digg team had to do away with old features like the Newsbar and Newsrooms and make the front page thrive with editorially driven content instead of being entirely based on the Digg score algorithm.

Digg now put emphasis on the "top" stories, "popular" stories and "upcoming" stories. With the new simpler design in place, there is not looking back for the Digg developers. The company promises to bring a pool of new updates like - network-based personalization features (similar to News.me), new commenting features, a Reading List, different views into the top stories on Digg and more data that shares why a particular story is trending. Digg also has plans to launch an API so that developers take their platform to newer levels.

Apart from this, Digg's new app for iOS updates with a mobile-friendly view, support for offline reading and a 'Paperboy' features that auto updates the latest stories, is now available for download at #-Link-Snipped-#.
