  • Thin clients are very useful when it comes to security and keeping the same software platform page but they can be a pain to set up. Now there's no need to worry. Dell's Wyse Division, which has been working for decades on thin clients has found a solution with a device called Wyse Cloud Connect, which is an Android powered universal thin client. Now thin clients are basically computer programs which depend on other computers for computational roles. These are totally different from fat clients which work independently. Thin clients server role may vary from data persistence to information processing on behalf of users.

It is basically designed to promote BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment. It is managed through Dell Wyse Cloud Client Manager Software which allows you to access, share your personal files, presentations, business documents very easily with right permissions. The Dell Wyse Cloud Client is a very compact multimedia capable device, slightly longer than USB memory stick, requires a Mobile High Definition Link (MHL)/HDMI port on TV or Monitor. Very easy to carry in your pockets. It has many more features like Android OS that supports triple play (voice, data and video), has a bluetooth which allows you to use keyboard and mouse with, can access thousands of apps on Google App Store and sports a 802.11a/b/c/g/n dual band Wi-Fi. Out and out, it does provide a flexible option for remote cloud computing and also can be with Critix, Microsoft or VMware thin-client servers.

In short it’s an all-in-one, low-cost thin client for virtual desktop access for all. How do you like the idea of Dell Wyse Cloud Client? Share with us in comments below.
