    Hey Vimal,

    If in any circuit you want 3V and 5V at the same time....
    Then instead of using another source DC to DC converter is used.......

    This is for small circuits....

    But while going for big motors....
    E.g. in some companies 75V DC motors and 110V DC motors are supposed to be used so instead providing one more source DC-DC converter is used....

    @Vipul-this DC to DC must be using voltage divider.is it so?

    Hey Shreya,

    Mostly voltage divider is not used due to HIGH LOSSES in resistive circuit....

    Hence thyristor circuits are used...
    Because
    1. High efficiency..
    2. Reliable..
    3. Economical..
    4. Low heat dissipation..
    & etc.,
