DC - DC Boost Up Converter

friends i'm planning to make dc-dc boost up converter.(300 Volt to 550 V)
i tried to use simple circuit as shown in wiki.

Boost Converter
(see fig.1 in circuit analysis portion)

it doesn't give stable output for given value of L,C and switching speed of igbt.
does any one have idea for which value o/p will be 550v d.c. stable.
Or please suggest me other circuits if you come across.
